- Pasumai Trust is of the view that child rights cannot be located in isolation and it should be intrinsically linked with collective and community rights and parents and communities should also be empowered to protect children and child rights
- Pasumai Trust is building people’s capacities to know their entitlements, to equip skills, knowledge and perspectives and engage themselves with livelihood , food and nutritional security
- Child care and protection, and their needs and aspirations should be appropriately integrated within the reformative plans, programmes and schemes of Governments- State and Central and Pasumai will collaborate with Governance Institutions to realize and achieve child protection.
- Pasumai will give preeminence to rights of girl children and vulnerable young / single women and evolve specific programmes for empowerment of such vulnerable and deprived sections.
- Child rights are inclusive, integral, universal, interdependent and all four clusters of rights-survival, protection, development and participation shall be given equal treatment and importance.
- Children are bearers of child rights and the governments are providers of welfare, entitlements and privileges and non-state actors and businesses have equal accountability and social responsibility.
